About Ryan
An experienced communications strategist and speechwriter, Ryan has advised leaders and crafted messages at the highest levels of business, government and philanthropy.
He has helped some of the world’s most respected leaders and organizations tell their story: serving as a speechwriter for U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke; developing corporate narratives and executive positioning plans for Fortune 500 companies and investor pitches for start-up companies and entrepreneurs; and advising political reform groups and candidates on all facets of communications strategy.
Ryan regularly writes commentaries for clients that have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Politico and The Economist on subjects ranging from health care and criminal justice to energy and tax policy. He also writes about communications and current events under his own byline, having previously published pieces in Fast Company, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, CNBC and The Hill.
Ryan has worked on various book projects: serving as the project manager and lead writer for No Labels’ Policy Playbook for America’s Next President and the New Center’s Ideas to Re-Center America; and as a contributing writer for Sir Elton John’s acclaimed 2012 book, Love is the Cure: On Life, Loss and the End of AIDS.
A graduate of Villanova University, Ryan lives in Brooklyn with his wife Erika and daughter Elle.
How We Work
Every leader or organization has an interesting story to tell or a compelling argument to make. It’s our job to find it, bring it to life and explain it to your audience—be it investors, employees, policymakers, the media or the general public.
